Professional Full Time and Part Time Groomers Wanted at Groomingdales Pet Valu Kingston!

A good groomer is hard to find! We value our groomers!  One of our owners used to be a groomer so we get how hard and rewarding this job can be!

Throughout the pandemic pet ownership has ballooned and access to grooming services has been a MAJOR concern for Pet Parents. Now is the time to join our well-respected team! We have the opportunity for a full time and a part time groomer. For our full time position, we are offering you a chance to take over the clients in a busy salon that is fully booked out for 7 weeks right now. We also have a part time position available. 

If you are currently grooming from home, a mobile groomer or looking for a change we are looking forward to meeting you!

If you have a love of dogs and at least 1 years of grooming experience, including the ability to groom all breeds, great scissoring skills, and have a calm, patient demeaner with your four legged clients then this could be the perfect opportunity for you. (Note: We don’t groom cats except for nail trims)

Our stores have a large client base already established. They enjoy the professional operation of our salon combined with the convenience of our location and the stellar reputation our businesses have in the local community.  We have 3 Pet Valu locations in Kingston and have thousands of pet parents coming through our doors each month!

Onsite laundry facilities mean you don’t have to outsource towel service or do laundry off site, staff to handle your bookings during our store hours according to your preferences – making it very convenient to have clients book appointments with you. Hours are negotiable!

This position is an employee commission-based opportunity, it is not an independent contractor position. As an employee you will be insured under our liability policy, get vacation and statutory holiday pay and more! We are willing to guarantee a base wage for a reasonable period to give you income security. Benefits are available after 6 months of full time service.
